20/01/06 Loughborough Uni Gig -
http://www.myspace.com/thevoomblooms Just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who came to the show last night at the uni, i think it's fair to say that it was our best live performance so far. It was our 9th gig and there was no way we expected there to be over 500 people there, especially since the promoter had told us to expect between 150 and 250 people. I guess you can go all over the country to many brilliant venues but nothing quite beats playing back home! We hope you all had a great night and we hope that we can do it again very soon! with love, The Voom Blooms x x.
12/01/06 gig @ Club fracture, Tamworth -
http://www.myspace.com/clubfracture Thanks to everyone who made it to the gig last night, a most enjoyable night...Must say we were loving the VIP area and the plasma tv's...It was great to play "Just like spies" for the first time live too, especially since we wrote it the night before. Infact we're starting to make quite a habit of writing new songs the night before a gig. But then, we're not complaining x.
15/12/05 Best of Mysace 2005 article -
http://www.thisisfakediy.co.uk/articles/5518.html "Hailing from Loughborough, The Voom Blooms manage to sound absolutely huge (particularly on the epic 'Thoughts Of Rena') on a budget of, we're guessing, about 20p. Already causing a bit of a stir amongst greasy major label talentspotters, The 'Blooms take all the best bits from Interpol, The Libertines and Doves and create something very exciting indeed."
30/12/05 Myspace Records of the year -
http://www.myspace.com/thevoomblooms @ number 3. The Voom Blooms: The London Heads EP - "I want to sign this band...I really do. However, I may be too late, I know there's quite a few suitors for them. They sound like a mix of Joy Division and Bloc Party. A couple months ago they spent a single day in a studio making a 4-song demo that became this EP, but for a demo it sounds better than a lot of full studio CDs I hear. This is distinct British indie rock, and damn is it catchy...Even if it may not have the slick overproduced feel of bands like Oasis, there's something really unique and unbelievably addictive about their songs...Now if only they would tour the USA so I could see them perform live!" - (Kurt_myspace records)
16/11/05Tmwsiy Review -
http://tmwsiy.blogspot.com/ "tmwsiy introduces the voom blooms. with a down and dirty demo recorded in under two hours these songs are full of raw energy, fast guitar and slick vocals, these guys are new rock and roll. 'Politics and cigarettes' builds up incredibly well, from the guitar riffs in the beginning to the marching band drum in the background, before they just let loose. "you can't keep all our culture." at only six months old, the voom blooms define a new band. watch out." (themanwhosteppedintoyesterday).

Politics & Cigarettes is Record of the Day!
"This Loughborough four piece are starting to build a buzz, having played ITC and been played by Lamacq on Radio 1. This demo was recorded in two hours but it has captured more swagger and energy than most albums. The Voom Blooms are currently holed up in the rehearsal studio writing material for their album. If this is their general standard then that buzz will soon be huge." _ www.recordoftheday.com (Nov 9th 2005
